MINONK – Sharon J. Lindley, 81, died at 9:40 p.m., Monday, Oct. 23, 2017, at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.
She was born Sept. 15, 1936, in La Crosse, Wis., the daughter of H.E. and Vada Yeoman Deyo. She married Kenneth D. Lindley on Aug. 28, 1954, in La Crosse. He survives.
Other survivors include three daughters, Zoe Small, Wadsworth, Ohio, Renee (John) Harris, Mattoon and Denise (Mike) Robinson, Akron, Ohio; three sons, Jeffery (Cheryl) Lindley, Phelan, Calif., Kevin Lindley, Minonk and Neal (Shannon) Lindley, Vallejo, Calif.; 22 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Dixie Fewell and Lorna (David) Schildman, both of La Crosse.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Michael Lindley, one son-in-law, Ricky Small, and one brother-in-law, Carl Fewell.
Sharon worked at Heritage Health in El Paso for 20 years before she retired in 2001. She was a member of the Minonk United Methodist Church, Minonk. Sharon was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Kenneth Harris officiating. Visitation will take place Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. Cremation will be accorded after the service. Calvert-Johnson & Froelich Memorial Home in Minonk is in charge of the arrangements.
