PRINCEVILLE - Vernon W. Stoller, 85, died at 7:20 p.m., Friday, April 26, 2013, at Apostolic Christian Skylines in Peoria.


He was born Jan. 15, 1928, in Speer, the son of Joseph and Elizabeth Streitmatter Stoller. He married Bernice Wagenbach on March 8, 1953, in Princeville. She survives.


Other survivors include four daughters, Donna (Ted) Blunier, Eureka, Deborah (Peter) Aberle, Tremont, Lavonne (Marvin) Herrmann, Speer and Terri (Craig) Martin, Princeville; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lucille Endress, Peoria and Geralene "Pat" (Edwin) Ringger, Gridley; two brothers, Nathan (Martha) Stoller, Bradford and Joseph (Emily) Stoller, Speer and two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Stoller, Peoria and Clara Stoller-Huber, Eureka.


He was preceded in death by his parents, one infant son, two sisters, Beulah Stoller and Violet Elsasser and four brothers, Earl Stoller, Richard Stoller, Floren Stoller and Lowell Stoller.


Vernonserved in the Army during the Korean conflict. He was a farmer in the Speer area before retiring in 1993. Vernon was a member of the Princeville AC Church.


Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the church with ministers of the church officiating. Visitation will be today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home in Princeville and Tuesday morning from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
