Flying Aces

Central Illinois Flying Aces captain, Trevor Janicke, and alternate captain, Cal Kiefiuk, won gold with Team
USA at the 2018 World Junior A Challenge. The tournament was held in
Bonnyville, Alberta, December 9th
through 16th.
Prior to joining the Flying Aces
this season, Janicke had been part of
the Team USA’s National Team Development Program, which has a long
and storied history of developing many
NHL first round draft picks with the
2019 projected first overall pick currently participating.
During the tournament, Janicke
was top-five in scoring including leading Team USA with six points (three

goals and three assists). He is currently
World Junior A Challenge.
tied for first in team scoring with Jeremy Davidson. Janicke has 25 points in 27 games while Davidson
has registered 25 points in 30 games. Janicke is committed to
play for the University of Notre Dame following his tenure with
the Flying Aces.
Kiefiuk also played an important role in the tournament
registering multiple goals on the way to gold. He is third in Flying Aces team scoring this season with 24 points in 22 games.
Kiefiuk is a future rival of Janicke as he is committed to play for
the University of Michigan.

the NHL.
