BLOOMINGTON - Leadership McLean County is on a search for the next county leader.
The McLean County Chamber of Commerce's Leadership McLean County program will seek applicants for the 2008 class until July 6.
The program's mission is to identify future leaders and to facilitate a learning process that results in greater community knowledge and awareness, valuable contacts and unique opportunities. The program is built to identify and encourage emerging leaders to be a strong entity in the community.
Applications are open to individuals who live in or work in McLean County or who spend a majority of volunteer time in the county and are employed by an organization that is a member of the McLean County Chamber of Commerce.
In addition to attending bi-weekly classes on Fridays between September and March, participants are expected to complete an in-depth group project and presentation, devote personal time toward community services activities and complete additional class assignments as assigned.
Scholarships are available.
