BLOOMINGTON — Six small business owners will discuss “Navigating the Entrepreneur Maze” at a talk Feb. 19 aimed at college students as well as high school juniors and seniors.
“A lot of students in the community have parents who work at State Farm and they don’t know a lot about small business,” said Erik Prenzler, owner of Prenzler Outdoor Advertising and one of the panelists.
He said the talk at 7 p.m. in the Illinois Wesleyan University’s Hansen Student Center, 300 E. Beecher St., will give students an opportunity to hear the unique stories of local entrepreneurs and ask questions.
Other panelists will be John McDonnell of Biaggi’s Restaurants; Chad Parker of Cybernautic; Sherri Chinski of Reiser/Chinski CPAs; Harlan Geiser of Integrity Technology and Julie Kubsch of Specs Around Town.
The event is sponsored by the McLean County Chamber of Commerce and the IWU Action Research Center. Parking is available in the east parking lot next to the student center.
