LeROY -- Dilligaf Pub, 509 N. West St., has opened in LeRoy with a lineup of bands every Saturday night this summer.

The name is an acronym for a phrase that loosely translates as "I don't care," but customers Madelon and Brian Gallagher say that isn't the attitude of owners Frank McGowan, Kenny O'Neal, Marshall Fannin and Jerry Fannin.

"The owners are always here, and they know everyone's name," Brian Gallagher said.

"We care about the people of LeRoy," said McGowan, who operated Mustang Sally's before opening Dilligaf in May.

McGowan said part of that caring is making sure customers get home safely, so the bar operates a shuttle service.

Owners also plan to contribute to community causes, with an August fundraiser to benefit Guardians of the Children.

Besides live music on Saturdays, there is "bad music" on Wednesdays and karaoke on Fridays. The pub also offers pool tables, video games and shuffleboard. Sand volleyball and a beer garden are planned.

Pizza is available, with a wider menu planned in the future.

Hours are 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Monday-Saturday and noon to 9 p.m. Sundays.
