BLOOMINGTON - The Bloomington-Normal Association of Realtors is enjoying the luxury of nearly three times more space at its new office.
The new quarters, 407 Detroit Drive, Bloomington, has 3,500 square feet of finished office space on the first floor and another 3,500 feet of space on the lower level. The old building, 902 N. Linden St., Bloomington, had 2,600 square feet.
The office building has five offices, a break room and kitchen, a boardroom and a classroom, said Michael McGaughan, executive officer of the association.
The association needed a new building for more training space and also more parking, said John Armstrong, president of the association.
The old building, which the association sold, had eight parking spaces; this one has 81. The old office had a meeting room for 30 people; the new building has a classroom that seats 75 people.
"We really needed to have the capability of having our own classes," McGaughan said. "We're certainly enjoying the new building."
