Caucuses to nominate candidates to run in the spring primary for the Roanoke and Benson boards will be held this evening at 7 p.m. at each town's respective village halls.

In Roanoke, incumbents Jerry Hasler and Bob Knepp plan to seek another four-year term as part of the Citizens' Party. For Benson, incumbents Neil Heineke, Nate Waldschmidt and Julie Wolf will run for another term, while Clint Kearfott is nominated to complete the remainder of a two-year term.

Candidates nominated at the caucuses will likely run unopposed on April 2 unless an individual who does not attend the caucus files a petition to run as an independent candidate or runs via a write-in.

Notes: Newcomer Bob Gilson was nominated at the Roanoke caucus.
