EUREKA - The county board is contemplating what to do with the building they recently purchased to headquarter the health department.
At the April 16 meeting, the board noted half the entire building will not be needed for the department, which will leave additional space for some other use.
“Right now, the county is living with open space we should be doing something with,” said board member Russ Cotton.
While the possible expansion of the department could solve part of the dilemma of using the 4,608 square feet of space, there will still be space available that could be rented out, turned into storage, converted into office space or an alternate county board room.
