ROANOKE - The Roanoke-Benson District 60 school board hired two new maintenance employees at its meeting on Thursday.

Darrin Chioni was tabbed head of maintenance. The position integrates janitorial, maintenance and supervisory duties. The board sought a candidate with multiple skills to handle issues with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire safety equipment, kitchen equipment and general maintenance. Todd Nafziger was hired as a custodian at Sowers Elementary to replace the retiring Dave Schwind.

“After the interviews, we feel good about the two candidates we are presenting,” Superintendent Rohn Peterson said.
