EUREKA - District 140 is confident with regards to a balanced budget for the current fiscal year following the Aug. 12 school board meeting.
Assistant Superintendent Andy Underwood noted the district will see revenues slightly higher than planned expenditures for this fiscal year along with a planned working cash transfer.
“Our education fund still relies on working cash transfers to operate,” Underwood said. “Our expenditures are up in operations and maintenance as we’ve started to spend on our planned projects, for example, the bus garage.”

He added the district anticipates receiving less federal revenue this year, while state revenue has been fairly stable.
