ROANOKE - East Peoria-based Heart will be responsible to install new security cameras in each of Roanoke-Benson District No. 60's three buildings. They and the school board came to an agreement at Thursday night's school board meeting.
“This is by no means complete in that we have all views of the school. We still have some places we cannot see,” building committee chair Todd Meinhold said.
However, he added the installation gives remote sight access to more places in the buildings than they have now. The cost of the upgrades will be $13,736.38 for the high school, $10, 973.75 for the junior high in Benson and $8,563.94 for Sowers Elementary.
