EUREKA - A former superintendent of public works for the village of Minonk was recently appointed the town's new wastewater superintendent. Cary Naas began July 31, as he replaced Doug Eastman, who retired after 27 years of service.
Naas served Minonk for a total of 22 years. Although he has licenses to operate water and wastewater plants, he will do only the latter here.
“I always was interested in working for small towns,” he said. “I have found satisfaction in working for the public and making improvements for the towns. Plus, I have enjoyed learning something new and doing something different every day, which is a large part of public works.”
