EUREKA - Sometimes what happens in a few hours can affect what happens in a lifetime.
The Eureka to Peoria St. Jude runners are hopeful that will happen when they culminate their fundraising activities with their annual run on Aug. 3. The runners will spend a few hours running and raising awareness and hoping their efforts will save the lives of more children.
“You do not have to be a serious runner,” said team leader Zack Sancken. “You just have to be serious about running. "It’s not a race for time, it’s a race for life."
Since its inception, the team has included runners from ages 16 to 69, as well as all different ability levels.
