EUREKA - Woodford County Board chair Stan Glazier of Congerville resigned, effective at the Nov. 20 meeting, after nearly two years. This was his second stint as chair, as Glazier served in that capacity from 2010 to 2014. He began his second tenure in December of 2016. Glazier was on the board from 2006 to 2014. Vice chair Doug Huser will become the new chair when the board re-organizes next Monday.
“Due to ongoing health issues and increasing family responsibilities, I feel that I can no longer dedicate the amount of time needed to adequately continue serving the Woodford County Board and my constituents," wrote Glazier to Huser on Nov. 16, four days before the meeting.
El Paso's Dan Steffen has been appointed to replace Glazier and will fill out the remainder of his term, which is for two years.
