MINONK - Mary Cunningham has always believed that “Kindness Matters” every day in every way and she reiterates that fact often.
“It has become my mantra,” Cunningham said. “We need to spread kindness wherever we go.”
Her efforts to spread kindness by reiterating her mantra on Facebook, mail and e-mails has long been a part of her goals, but she recently expanded on that goal and began an additional special project to spread kindness to 100 veterans. Cunningham is collecting personal items to fill 100 Christmas bags to give to male and female residents in the Manteno Assisted Living Veterans Home. She has aptly named the project “Operation Kindness Matters.”
