Goodfield State Bank (GSB) President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Chad Martin has been named regional vice chair with the Community Bankers Association of Illinois (CBAI). He was selected at the recent CBAI convention held in St. Louis, Mo. Martin will serve on the board of directors as well as their strategic planning committee and chair the education committee.
Martin earned a bachelor's degree in agribusiness from Illinois State University in Normal and also graduated from the CBAI Community Bankers School in Bloomington and the Graduate School of Banking of Madison, Wis. He has worked for GSB since 1999 and was appointed president/CEO three years later. Martin serves on the Community BancService Corporation board, the CBAI MEP Oversight Committee and is a former board member of Community BancInsurance Services. Martin was a former president of the Roanoke Rotary, Roanoke-Benson Recreation Association and currently serves on the board of directors with Maple Lawn Homes of Eureka.
The Metamora native resides in Roanoke with his wife, Brenda, and four sons, Austin, a junior at ISU who works part-time with GSB, Drew, Blake and Brock.
