TAKING OVER

NEW OWNERS - Caleb (left) and Erin (right) Leman, pictured with their children, Have assumed ownership of Mika's Bistro in Eureka. It will re-open in the fall.

EUREKA - The community will continue to enjoy a longstanding eatery and gathering place downtown. Roanoke couple Caleb and Erin Leman purchased Mika's Bistro this past week. They have operated Caleri's Cafe & Bakery in Roanoke for over nine years. The Lemans take over for Dave and Regina Park, who operated the eatery at 112 S. Main St. for approximately four years.

“We have been looking at ways to expand beyond Roanoke,” he said. “Since we roast our own coffee and make all our own baked goods from scratch, we thought Mika’s was a good fit for us. It’s close enough to work well together, but still be a different enough market than what’s in Roanoke.”

He added the menu or a new name to the establishment, which will open sometime in the fall. has yet to be determined. The name Caleri's is derived from each of the Leman's first three letters in their name.
