ROANOKE - The Roanoke-Benson District 60 school board decided to have a booth on hand at the upcoming Illinois State University education fair on Nov. 5 on the Normal campus to provide information about the district to prospective teaching graduates.
“A lot of aggressive school administrators are doing what they can to secure a staff,” said Superintendent Tom Welsh at the Oct. 17 board meeting.

He added some ISU students who have not yet completed all their graduation requirements will likely be signing contracts after the fair. Welsh also interjected it is not the district's goal to hire teachers at the fair, but inform the undergraduates what they have to offer.
