ROANOKE - The business district will get a little sprucing up, as several small planned improvements were approved by the village board at Monday night's meeting.
Among the ideas include new decorative planters be placed along both sides of Main Street, as well as south of Broad, at a cost not to exceed $5,500. Also, the development of a logo with the name of the town and a future rendition of the Jumbo are in the works.
“This is an interim step to make the town more beautiful going toward the future," commented board president Mike Smith.
In addition, the board is planning to tap into high school students to assist in a re-design of the town's website.
