MINONK – Adam M. Kingen, 50, died at 4:09 p.m., Monday, May 27, 2019, at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.
He was born Dec. 13, 1968, in LaSalle, the son of Albert Wayne and Vida Gerdes Kingen. He married Louise “Weezy” Allen on June 14, 2002, in Minonk. She survives.
Other survivors include three daughters, Aimee (David) Roberson and Abigail Kingen, both of Pekin, and Maribeth Fatheree-Kingen, Kappa; two sons, Stephan (Ashley) Arbogast, Ellsworth and John (Sierra) Kingen, East Peoria; nine grandchildren; three sisters, Diane (Tom) Newhalfen, Henry, Susie (Steve) Park, Minonk and Amy Beer, Benson; two brothers, Jim (Wendy) Kingen, Varna and Mike (Val) Kingen, Rutland; many nieces and nephews and his in-laws, Fred (Fran) Allen, Minonk.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Adam worked as a quality supervisor with SMF in Minonk for 25 years. He was a member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, A Brotherhood Aimed Toward Education (ABATE) and the National Rifle Association (NRA). Adam loved the outdoors and he also hunted and fished. He also enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and his fur babies. Adam will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will take place June 8 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Goldstar Banquet Center, Minonk. Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Minonk is in charge of the arrangements.
