ROANOKE – Amy Kathryn Lott, 47, died at 5:28 a.m., Monday, Dec. 24, 2018, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born Aug. 1, 1971, in Peoria, the daughter of Larry J. and Renae Riviere Kennel. She married Michael J. Lott on Sept. 4, 1999, in Eureka. He survives.
Other survivors include her mother of Lowpoint; two sons, Evan Lott and Andrew Lott, both at home; one brother, Jeff (Marion) Kennel, Metamora; three sisters, Cheryl (Fred) Schlumpf, Peoria, Jeanine (Mike) Proksch, East Peoria and Erika Kennel, Portland, Ore., and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and both paternal and maternal grandparents.
Amy was an x-ray technician and registered sonographer. She started her career working for OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria and later at St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington. Amy then entered private practice and worked for OB/GYNs, Dr. Chow and Dr. Dudley, and with Advanced Woman’s Healthcare, Dr. Ogunleye and Dr. Emm. She was a member of Crosspoint Community Church, Eureka, and the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). Amy was a loving mother and wife who was truly dedicated and devoted to her family. She loved to spend time with family playing games, creating adventures and memorable experiences for her boys. Amy loved to travel and also enjoyed being the family photo journalist. She was a grounding force in her family and the center of levity with her lighthearted, unique spirit. Amy cared deeply, loved completely, an example of pure joy and Christianity.
Services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the church with Dave Steinbeck officiating. Visitation will take place Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Knapp-Johnson-Harris Funeral Home, Roanoke. Burial will follow the service in Olio Township Cemetery in Eureka.
Memorials may be made to a fund that has been established for her sons in care of Roanoke-Benson Community Bank.
