EUREKA – Bena Mae Rocke, 101, died at 7:42 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2020, at the Apostolic Christian Home of Eureka.
She was born July 15, 1918, in Roanoke, the daughter of Benjamin and Otilla Schumacher Fehr. She married Leroy E. Rocke on Oct. 23, 1937, in Eureka. He died Nov. 6, 1986.
Survivors include one daughter, Kathleen (Michael) Leman, Eureka; one son, William Rocke, Normal; one granddaughter, Vicki (Mark) Ziese, Knoxville, Tenn., and four great-grandchildren, Tanner (Kelti) Ziese, Moriah Ziese, Erika Rocke and Landon Rocke.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Lois DesCarpentrie and Doris Guingrich, four brothers, Isaac Fehr, Edward Fehr, Ben Fehr and Bill Fehr, and one grandson, Lance Rocke.
Bena was a meek and quiet spirit who enjoyed quilting, gardening and serving others. She was a homemaker and also worked in the offices of both the AC Home of Eureka and Elgin when her husband served as administrator of each. Bena was a member of the Eureka AC Church, Eureka.
Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the church with ministers of the church officiating. Visitation will take place Saturday morning from 9 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow the service in the Roanoke AC Church Cemetery, rural Roanoke. Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka is in charge of the arrangements.
