SECOR – Betty Lou Gangloff, 78, died Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at her home in Secor.
She was born Aug. 27, 1940, in Secor, the daughter of David and Ruby Smilie Robenstein. She married Donald Lee Gangloff on Nov. 22, 1958, in Metamora. He survives.
Other survivors include one son, Steven (Lisa) Gangloff, Monticello; one daughter, Debi (Randy) Smith, Eureka; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and two sisters, Shirley Mansfield, East Peoria and Barb Allen, Secor.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two infant sons, Ricky Gangloff and Randy Gangloff, and one sister, Bonnie Evans.
Betty worked as a licensed practical nurse (LPN) at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria for many years. She also co-owned Country Craftsman Antiques, Secor for 40 years. Betty was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Roanoke. She was an avid reader and loved to cheer for the New England Patriots.
Services will be held Saturday 11 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Eugene Radosevich officiating. Visitation will take place Saturday morning from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Cremation rites will be accorded after the service. Burial will be held in Secor Cemetery, Secor, at a later date. Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home, Eureka, is in charge of the arrangements.
