EUREKA – William C. "Bill" Blain, 86, died at 4:52 a.m., Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at the Apostolic Christian Home of Roanoke.

He was born Jan. 13, 1933, in Congerville, the son of George Howard and Nellie Reeser Blain. He married Ruby Moore on Oct. 26, 1952, in Congerville. She survives.

Other survivors include one son, Frank (Amy) Blain, Peoria; one granddaughter, Melissa Blain, East Peoria; one sister, Mary Hunsinger, El Paso and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, one sister and two brothers.

Bill worked at the Caterpillar plant in Morton for 41 years. He also volunteered at the Et Cetera Shop in Eureka. He was a member of East Peoria Mennonite Church, East Peoria, Secor Sportsman’s Club, Kennell Lake Sportsman’s Club, Morton, and served as president of the Caterpillar Retirees’ Club.

Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Olio Township Cemetery, Eureka, with Kim Litwiller officiating. Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka is in charge of the arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the AC Home of Roanoke.
