GOODFIELD – Jason Wall, 34, died at 11:55 p.m., Saturday, April 6, 2019, in a tragic home fire at his home near Goodfield.
He was born July 25, 1984, in Peoria, the son of John and Helen Abel Wall.
Survivors include his mother of East Peoria; fiancée, Katrina Alwood, Goodfield, with whom he made his home; one brother, John Wall, East Peoria; maternal grandmother, Betty Abel of the state of Indiana and his fiancee’s family, Mike and Lori Alwood, Kyle Alwood, whom he was raising like his own son, and Samantha Alwood, all of Goodfield.
He was preceded in death by his father, one son, Daemeon Wall, and one daughter, Ariel Wall.
Jason served in the Army and had several tours in Korea, Iraq. He drove a truck for G & D Integrated in Morton. Jason was an avid hunter and loved his guns and his bow and arrows. He was a member of the National Rifle Association. Jason loved spending time with his family and truly loved his children, so much that he gave his life trying to save theirs. He and his buddies always said “I got your six.”
Services will be held Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the fellowship hall of the Goodfield Apostolic Christian Church, Goodfield. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. in the fellowship hall. Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka is charge of the arrangements.
