ROANOKE – Lavina M. Hostetler, 95, died Thursday, May 9, 2019, at her home in rural Roanoke.

She was born Aug. 29, 1923, the daughter of Ben W. and Barbara Kennell Zoss. She married Leo C. Hostetler on Dec. 28, 1950, in rural Roanoke. He died Dec. 21, 1990.

Survivors include one daughter, Lanora Headings, Muscoda, Wis.; two grandchildren, Anthony (Melissa) Unzicker, Platteville, Wis., and Barbara (Kenneth) Fisher, Muscoda and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Silas Zoss, two sisters, Sadie Zoss (infancy) and Lillie Zoss, and one son-in-law, Robert Headings.

Lavina was a member of the North Linn Amish Mennonite Church, rural Roanoke. She enjoyed keeping house, mowing and doing lawn care around her house.

Services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the church with ministers of the church officiating. Visitation will take place Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home in Metamora. Burial will follow the service in the Roanoke Mennonite Church Cemetery, rural Eureka.
