ROANOKE – Martha Lyons, 74, died at 3:23 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019, at her home in Roanoke.
She was born October 31, 1944, in Washington, the daughter of Virgil and Irene Holt Wilkey. She married Steven Lyons on March 22, 1962.
Survivors include two sons, Mark (Joleen) Lyons, Newton, Kan., and Ronald Lyons of the state of Tennessee; two grandchildren, Jamie (Charity) Lyons and Rachel Lyons; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Art Wilkey, George (Ella B) Wilkey and Charles (Rose) Wilkey and two sisters, Wanda Wilkey and Pam Wilkey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, three brothers and five sisters.
Martha worked as a bookkeeper for Frost Electric in Aurora for 19 years before she retired and moved back to the Roanoke area. She was a member of Liberty Bible Church in Eureka.
Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Tom Zobrist officiating. Visitation will take place Saturday morning from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be held Monday afternoon at 1 p.m. in Lincoln Memorial Park, Aurora. Knapp-Johnson-Harris Funeral Home, Roanoke, is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the church.
