EUREKA – Walter E. Langley Jr., 74, died Monday, Aug. 12, 2019, at his home in Eureka.
He was born Aug. 26, 1944, in Jefferson City, Mo., the son of Walter E. and Lorraine Wade Langley Sr. He married Karen Zimmerman on Jan. 7, 1966, in Washington. She survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Jeffery (Stephanie) Langley, Big Cabin, Okla., Michael (Popi) Langley, Eureka and Brian (Angel) Langley, Peoria; two daughters, Cyndee Langley, Chicago and Cheryl Langley, Marquette Heights; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and two brothers, Gary Langley, Des Peres, Mo., and Alan (Alice) Langley, Des Moines, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Walter worked for Caterpillar for many years.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Eureka United Methodist Church, Eureka, with the Rev. Bethany Harris officiating. Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
