Fieldcrest 6, GCMS 48: Matt Lorton's TD pass to Jaxon Cusac-McKay averted a shutout for the Knights (1-3, 0-2) in the league divisional contest on Friday.
Eureka, Argo back on the top: Behind Emma Argo's individual triumph, the Hornets won the Bureau Valley Invite Saturday at Walnut. Their 45 points were three better than Rock Falls in the 18-team field. Kyle Johnson was runner-up for the boys, who placed third, while Olympia was first from a pool of 20. Victor Echeveste (25th) and Sadie White (37th) were top finishers for Fieldcrest.
