Pacocha moves on: Eureka's Allison Pacocha recorded an 18-hole score of 80 in Thursday's Metamora Regional at Metamora Fields

Three onto the next round: Allison Pacocha of Eureka shot a 76 at Monday's Peru St. Bede Sectional at Spring Valley's Spring Creek to advance to this weekend's state event at Decatur's Red Tail course. Also on Monday, Eureka's Zac Messer (77) and Lucas Bernardi of Fieldcrest (82) qualified from the El Paso-Gridley Sectional near Kappa. They'll play Friday morning at Bloomington's Prairie Vista. Bernardi starts Friday at 9:33, while Messer and Pacocha get going at 10:18 a.m.

Woodland 18-22, Roanoke-Benson 25-25: Eight service points by Hannah Veatch paced the Rockets (14-9-1, 7-0) in Thursday's Tri-County Conference match

Tremont 25-13-21, Fieldcrest 22-25-25: Gracie Schultz swung a hot right arm, as she deposited 16 kills for the Knights (19-9, 6-5) in the Heart of Illinois Conference contest Thursday evening

Knights go two and two: Fieldcrest posted wins over St. Anne and Peotone in Saturday's Beecher Invitational. Ella Goodrich and Gracie Schultz were named to the all-invite squad

Brimfield 22-20, Eureka 25-25: The host Hornets (14-13) received 10 kills from Alexis Charlton on Monday

Eureka 25-25, Tremont 16-22: Joan Zimmerman recorded seven kills for the Hornets, who improved to 6-5 in the league, on Tuesday

Hornets buzz to first: Anna Perry's individual win aided Eureka to the team crown at the Prairie Central Invitational Saturday at Fairbury's Indian Creek. A total of nine girls' squads were on hand. Jack Cook ran to fifth to help the boys get fourth out of 14 teams. Andy Wiesenhofer (16th) led sixth place Fieldcrest

Gochanour heads Knights' pack: Ryan Gochanour (45th) was the top Fieldcrest runner in Monday's Amboy Invite at Shady Oaks. The Knights took seventh overall from a pool of 26, while Monticello swept the team crowns

MISCELLANEOUS

TCC to be short two: DePue and Peoria Christian will leave the conference at the end of May. According to Roanoke-Benson athletic director Abe Zeller, Peoria Christian will move to the Inter County Athletic Conference (ICAC). The departures will drop league membership down to eight schools: Henry, Lowpoint-Washburn, Midland, Ottawa Marquette, Putnam Co., R-B, Seneca and Woodland
