EUREKA - Fieldcrest overcame a one-set deficit Monday evening to hand Heart of Illinois Conference rival Eureka a 19-25, 25-23, 25-23 defeat.
Junior Gracie Schultz contributed nine kills and seven service points for the Knights (14-5, 4-3).
“We kind of had a slow start,” Fieldcrest coach Cathy Sanders said. “It was a matter of just keeping them calm and focused. I felt like they were confident. We were ready to go after it.”
Eureka (10-8, 5-2) received match-highs in points (12) and kills (10) from sophomore Delaney Phillips.

“I think we had some mental errors. That’s what we’ve seen often,” said Hornets' coach Lena Dohner of squandering the one-set lead. “We lost focus and that cost us.”
The Knights are now 6-0 in true road matches on the campaign.
