Tri-Valley 38, Fieldcrest 54: Madi Hock's 21 points guided the regional host Knights (20-12) in a Wednesday semifinal.

Farmington 30, Eureka 55: Behind 17 points from Darby Leman, Eureka (28-3) claimed the Deer Creek-Mackinaw Regional Thursday evening.

Camp Point Central/Augusta Southeastern 54, Eureka 48 (overtime): Lauren Ausmus recorded 12 points for the Hornets, who saw an 18-game win streak come to a close in Monday night's Beardstown Sectional.

Fieldcrest 39, Midwest Central/Delavan 60: In game two at Beardstown, Alyx Carls had nine points for the Knights.

Rossman advances: Brynn Rossman of host Roanoke-Benson moved onto the next round in the three-point competition held prior to Friday's regional final that saw Illini Bluffs defeat Stark County 42-29. Rossman will be one of 16 individuals on hand in the Abingdon-Avon Sectional. The first group shoots at approximately 5:40 on Thursday prior to the 7 p.m. final between Lewistown and IB.

BOYS' BASKETBALL

Fieldcrest 59, Putnam Co. 57: Cory Land provided 12 points off the bench for Fieldcrest on Thursday.

Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley 57, Eureka 52 (OT): Keegan Zimmerman netted 18 points for the Hornets (19-9, 5-5) versus the Heart of Illinois Conference frontrunners Friday night.

Fieldcrest 73, Heyworth 54: Behind Derek May's 16 points, the Knights (18-8, 6-3) had a successful league road trip on Friday.

R-B 44, Seneca 29: Half the R-B (17-11, 5-3) attack was supplied by Jack Weber in Friday's Tri-County Conference encounter.

R-B 50, Ridgeview 45: Jack Weber's 18 points led the Monday evening guests.

Flanagan-Cornell 36, R-B 34 (OT): Luke Braman had nine points for the hosts in Tuesday's defensive battle.

WRESTLING

Trio headed to semifinals: Eureka's Brayden Peiffer (106 pounds), Asher Wiegand (126) and Joel Baer (220) are among the final four in the Petersburg Porta Sectional after Friday's action. In his only match of the day, Wiegand recorded a 13-0 major decision victory. Baer's win moved his seasonal record to 29-0.

Two punch tickets to the big meet: Asher Wiegand (126) and Brayden Peiffer (106) qualified for state competition with their performance at Saturday's Porta Sectional. Wiegand won his weight class with two victories, including a 7-2 decision over Macomb's Hunter Protsman in the title bout. This will be his fourth consecutive appearance at state. Peiffer took fourth at 106 and clinched a berth with a 6-2 decision over Josiah Grant of Tremont during wrestlebacks. State matches start Thursday at the State Farm Center on the University of Illinois campus in Champaign-Urbana.
