TOURNEY COMPETITION

STAYING LOCKED IN - Eureka's Darby Leman keeps close tabs on River Rosales of Ridgeview during the semifinals of the McLean County tournament Thursday night at Illinois Wesleyan University's Shirk Center in Bloomington. The Hornets extended their win streak to 13 in a row with a 67-37 triumph (For the Journal/Lewis Marien).

BOYS' BASKETBALL

Henry 22, Roanoke-Benson 62: Luke Braman's 17 points led the Rockets (14-8) during Wednesday's Tri-County Conference tournament quarterfinal at Granville.

Eureka 36, Deer Creek-Mackinaw 40: The Hornets received 19 points from Keegan Zimmerman in a McLean Co. tourney quarterfinal contest Wednesday night at Colfax.

Eureka 72, Tremont 59: Matt Martin had 13 points for the guests in tourney action on Thursday.

Fieldcrest 45, Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley 57: Hayden Carls scored 10 points for Fieldcrest (16-7) in Friday's tourney semifinal at Illinois Wesleyan University's Shirk Center in Bloomington.

Seneca 46, R-B 43: Jake Weber netted 16 points for the Rockets in a TCC tourney semi Friday in Granville.

Eureka 46, Le Roy 34: Keegan Zimmerman fired in 21 points in Saturday's tourney contest at El Paso-Gridley.

Fieldcrest 50, DCM 51: Derek May provided 18 points for the Knights in the third place game of the tourney Saturday afternoon at Shirk.

Peoria Christian 39, R-B 37: All-tourney choice Luke Braman supplied 12 points in the third place game of the TCC event at Granville on Saturday. Braman was joined on the squad by Jake Weber.

Eureka 45, Tremont 64: Keegan Zimmerman led the Hornets (17-8, 3-4) with 23 points during Tuesday's Heart of Illinois Conference road assignment.

GIRLS' BASKETBALL

Ridgeview 37, Eureka 67: Natalie Anderson pumped in 21 points for Eureka (25-2) in a McLean Co. tourney semifinal Thursday night at Shirk.

Fieldcrest 30, El Paso-Gridley 40: In the second semifinal from Shirk, Alyx Carls scored a team-high eight points for the Knights (18-10).

Fieldcrest 37, Ridgeview 63: Madi Hock finished with nine points in the third place game of the tourney Saturday afternoon at Shirk.

EP-G 37, Eureka 41: Courtney Heffren's 17 points powered Eureka to a third straight tourney title Saturday night at Shirk.

WRESTLING

Eureka 22, Heyworth 54: Joel Baer was on the match for just 40 seconds before he registered a pin at 220 pounds for the Hornets (9-9) in Saturday's Heart of Illinois Conference Super Duals hosted by Le Roy.
