Fieldcrest 2, RBLW 4: Jacob Nix picked up the win in relief for the Monday hosts. Bryce Nordstrom had two hits for the Knights (11-9).


Fieldcrest 4, Tri-Valley 5: Ella Goodrich rapped out three hits for Fieldcrest, who saw the hosts plate two runs in the bottom of the seventh on Wednesday.

Eureka 2, Illinois Valley Central 0: Hannah Martin weaved a three-hitter for the Hornets (11-12) Thursday afternoon.

Le Roy 0, Fieldcrest 3: Alivia Tjaden twirled a complete game three-hitter along with 12 strikeouts for the Knights (11-10, 7-3), who closed out Heart of Illinois Conference action on Friday.

Eureka 5, Deer Creek-Mackinaw 1: Winning pitcher Hannah Martin collected two hits for the guests in Monday's Tremont Regional.

Eureka 2, Tremont 6: Jayci Swords' two hits led the Hornets in Tuesday's regional contest.


Wiegand claims half mile: Tessa Wiegand of Eureka won the 800 in Thursday's Metamora Sectional. The state preliminaries are next Friday at Eastern Illinois University's O'Brien Stadium in Charleston.

Leman soars in the field: LWRB's Whitney Leman placed first in the triple jump at the El Paso-Gridley Sectional on Thursday. Ellen Hood of Fieldcrest finished second to advance in the 200. The state prelims begin Thursday morning at EIU.

Carlson ends up first: Eureka's Grant Carlson captured the pole vault in a Thursday home triangular with Deer Creek-Mackinaw and IVC.
