East Peoria 33, Eureka 57: Natalie Anderson scored 18 points for Eureka (5-0) on Thursday in the Prairie Central Invitational at Fairbury.

Fieldcrest 35, Flanagan-Cornell 50: Addie Goodrich had eight points for Fieldcrest (3-1) in the final game of the latter's Stone Seed Invite on Thursday. Despite the setback, the Knights won the event due to the earlier head-to-head win over Serena, who also went 2-1. Goodrich was picked to the all-invite squad.

Roanoke-Benson 12, Lexington 65: Maddie Monge netted six points for R-B (1-3) in the Lexington Classic Thursday evening.

Central Catholic junior varsity 32, R-B 27: A dozen points were supplied by Maddie Monge at Lexington on Friday.

Pontiac 34, Eureka 39: Courtney Heffren (12) and Lauren Ausmus (10) were the high scorers for the Hornets Saturday morning in Fairbury.

Eureka 51, Prairie C. 35: In a second Saturday contest at Fairbury, the guests roared out to a 26-6 lead after eight minutes to capture the round robin event. Courtney Heffren poured in 21 points, while Natalie Anderson added 10.

Peoria Heights 23, Fieldcrest 61: Madi Hock (19) and Addie Goodrich (14) combined for 33 points for the hosts in Monday's home opener. They led 25-7 after the first quarter.

Tri-Valley 22, Eureka 53: In the Heart of Illinois Conference opener on Monday, the hosts used a 26-2 second period to pull away. Natalie Anderson scored 14 points, while Courtney Heffren added 12.

Peoria Christian 21, R-B 53: The Rockets jetted out to a 19-8 lead after the opening stanza in the Tri-County Conference opener Monday night at Dick Broers Gymnasium. Maddie Monge scored 16 points, while Bailey Leman followed with 15.


Tri-Point 34, Eureka 77: The Hornets jumped out a 19-9 lead at the end of the first quarter during Monday's Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley Invite opener. Keegan Zimmerman scorched the nets to the tune of 31 points, while Brady Krile added 10. A total of 13 Hornets got into the scoring column.

Game to be broadcast: Eureka's pool play contest with Le Roy Wednesday evening at the GCMS Invite will air on Gibson City radio station WGCY-FM 106.3 and streamed at Tip off is set for 7 p.m.


Trio lauded: R-B's Paige Sauder was named to the Tri-County Conference first team for the third consecutive year. She was the only unanimous selection. Madalyn Oltman (second) and sophomore Brynn Rossman (third) were also picked.
