NORMAL -- Art and artists from the African Diaspora will be showcased in "Art Couture," the 16th annual Afrocentric Fine Art Show, presented by Sisters and Friends of Bloomington-Normal.
For the second year, the exhibit and sale will be in the Illinois State University Alumni Center at 1101 N. Center St., Normal.
Days and hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 21, and noon to 4 p.m. May 22, with free admission both days.
Featured this year will be 15 artists from around the country, including Illinois, Tennessee, California and Georgia.
Artists and galleries scheduled to appear include Stacey Brown, George Nock, Gallery Guichard and Calvin Walton.
All work displayed will be available for purchase.
Proceeds from the show go toward scholarships awarded to African-American students attending a four-year college or university and majoring in visual arts.
