BLOOMINGTON — The McLean County Arts Center has named the recipients of community arts access grants on behalf of the Illinois Arts Council Agency.

Emphasis was placed on artistic innovation, outreach, underserved populations, participating artists, and organizational stability.

The nonprofit organizations' programs will affect about 12,000 community members, children, and artists. 

Local recipients and grant amounts are: Cultural Fest Inc., $600; Heartland Theatre Company, $1,500; Holiday Spectacular Inc., $1,000; Illinois Symphony Orchestra, $1,250; McLean County Dance Association, $500; The Regional Alternative School, $1,000; Threshold to Hope, $300; West Bloomington Revitalization Project, $850; and YWCA McLean County, $500.
