Jaycees name charities benefiting from Bruegala in August

NORMAL — The Bloomington-Normal Jaycees has announced the charities that will be benefit from this Bruegala, A Festival of Beer!

The annual festival beer and wine fest will be Aug. 16-17 at the Corn Crib in Normal.

The charities that will be helped include: Recycling Furniture for Families; Ecology Action Center; Prairie State Legal Services; and Pet Central Helps. 

"This year, Bruegala will absolutely be an event you won't want to miss," said Gwen Robinson, 2019 Bruegala chairwoman. "We will be focusing on many of the Illinois breweries and are working to bring as many exclusive brews as possible to our patrons."

In addition to the 100-plus beers and 50-plus wines that will be available to sample, Bruegala will feature eight local bands on two stages, and multiple food vendors.

Bands performing Aug. 16 include: Emilele; Clayton Shay; Hot Sauce Universe; and Scott Marek.  The Aug. 17 lineup is: Kyle Yapp ; Chris Clemen; Jorden Street; and the Jack Dupp Duo.

Pre-sale tickets will be available online via www.bruegala.com starting on July 1. They cost $15; tickets at the door will be $20.
