NORMAL — The spring 6-Week Film School at Normal Theater will focus on director Stanley Kubrick.

All films are shown at 7 p.m. Wednesdays, starting Feb. 20.

The lineup, by production year and title, is 1956, "The Killing," Feb. 20; 1962, "Lolita," Feb. 27; 1964, "Dr. Strangelove or, How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb," March 6; 1968, "2001: A Space Odyssey," March 20; 1971, "A Clockwork Orange," March 27; and 1980, "The Shining," April 3.

At each showing, there will be a short introduction, the screening, a brief break, and (for those choosing to remain) a presentation of ideas, screen shots and discussion with the audience.

Someone from Illinois State University's Student Services will speak briefly before "Lolita" and "A Clockwork Orange."

Admission is free, thanks to a town of Normal grant. The series is co-sponsored by the ISU Department of English.
