BLOOMINGTON — The Beatles tribute band, Liverpool Legends, will make its debut in the Twin Cities with a concert Nov. 17 at the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts downtown.
The show begins at 7:30 p.m.
The concert, dubbed “The Complete Beatle’s Experience!” is a full-scale Beatles extravaganza that capitalizes on the continued interest in the Fab Four.
The band perform songs spanning the entire career of The Beatles and on through their solo years — with what show organizers say is precise attention to every musical detail, along with costume changes, vintage instruments and special effects.
An interesting point about the Liverpool Legends is that the musicians and actors in the band were chosen by Louise Harrison, sister of the late Beatle George Harrison.
Her involvement with the band, say organizers, makes them the only Beatles Tribute Band with a direct family link to the original band.
Liverpool Legends has performed around the world, including concerts at Carnegie Hall, The Rose Bowl, and The Cavern Club in Liverpool, England (where the Beatles got their start) and other venues.
Tickets are on sale now at 309-434 2777, or on the Web at https://blom-internet.choicecrm.net/templates/BLOM/#/events.
Seats range in price from $35.20 to $51.20
This is the second Twin City concert being promoted this fall by Robert Stolzman of Dynasty Entertainment. He brought another concert, the "Ultimate Elvis Tribute" to the BCPA in late October.
Like that show, proceeds from the Liverpool Legends show, after expenses, will go to Marcfirst, a Twin City agency that serves people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Clients from the agency are given the chance to attend the concerts free of charge.
In promoting the Elvis show, Stolzman said, "MarcFirst and I have slowly built a good relationship and hope to maintain it for years to come."
