SIBLEY — Evelyn L. Enghausen, 94, of Sibley, died at 1:05 a.m. Tuesday (Oct. 20, 2015) at Gibson Area Hospital in Gibson City.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City, with the Rev. Jim Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, Sibley. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday.
Evelyn was born March 21, 1921, in Sibley, a daughter of Frank and Mabel Todd Hanson. She married Raymond Enghausen on Aug. 6, 1945, in Gibson City. He survives.
Also surviving are a son, Jim (Jerrie) Enghausen, Gibson City; three grandchildren, Ryan and Erin Hosch, and Eric Meece; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jan Hosch, and a granddaughter, Jill Rotramel.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Sibley, and the Martin Sunkten American Legion Auxiliary 244. She helped on the family farm and, in her later years, she drove a school bus for the Melvin-Sibley School District. She also loved to play bingo and was a great cook.
