GIBSON CITY — Guy L. Bane, 86, of Gibson City, died at 11:50 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2015, at Gibson Area Hospital, Gibson City.
His funeral service was Saturday, Nov. 14, at Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City. The Rev. Ed Taylor officiated. Burial was in Drummer Township Cemetery, Gibson City, with military rites by the Lee Lowery American Legion Post 568, Gibson City. Visitation was held for one hour before the service at the funeral home.
He was born Sept. 22, 1929, in Harpster, a son of Delmar and Francis Cline Bane. He married Donna M. Jones on Aug. 22, 1953, in Danville. She died March 15, 2015.
Surviving is a son, Tim (Jody) Bane, Gibson City; a daughter, Kathy Breeden, Gibson City; four grandchildren; two great-grandsons; and one great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
Guy was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a repairman for Illinois Bell for 37 years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of the Gibson City American Legion.
