GIBSON CITY - Shirley Kay Butler, 90, of Gibson City, died at 9:10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 9, 2015, at Heritage Health-Gibson City.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, at Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City, with the Rev. Ed Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Drummer Township Cemetery, Gibson City. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Butler was born Feb. 12, 1925, in Saybrook, a daughter of Loren and Meriam McDaniel Means. She married Charles Franklin Butler on Aug. 30, 1942, in St. Louis, Mo. He died Nov. 7, 2008.
Surviving is a son, James Michael (Sharon) Butler, Gibson City; a granddaughter, Dawn (Rodney) Shaffer, Union, Ky.; three grandsons, Brian (Cindy) Butler, Foosland; Bruce (Tina) Butler, Gibson City; and Bradley Butler, Champaign; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Cline and Cynthia Earl, both of Gibson City.
She was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.
Shirley was a member of the Blackford Club, Moderns Club of Saybrook and the Women of the Moose.
Memorials may be made to the Heritage Health nursing home activity fund.
