#62. From Here to Eternity

IMDb user rating: 7.7 Year: 1953 Director: Fred Zinnemann   Few Hollywood scenes are more recognizable than the one in 1953’s “From Here to Eternity,” where Burt Lancaster and Deborah Kerr kiss on the beach, but the movie surrounding that one scene is of equal note and caliber. The film about military exploits in Hawaii tied with “Gone With the Wind” for the most Oscars won by a single film up to that point in time.
