Fund established for victims of fire

CLINTON - A fund has been established for a Clinton couple who lost their possessions in a fire Dec 15.

Linda Roberts and Mike Dubson and Roberts' two children lived in a mobile home in rural Clinton that was destroyed.

Donations to help the family may be sent to the Robert Family Fund at John Warner Bank, P.O. Box 679, Clinton.

In addition to the family's belongings, the couple also lost clothing and other items intended for a grandchild due in February.

Planned Parenthood schedules fund-raiser

BLOOMINGTON - McLean County's Friends of Planned Parenthood will sponsor a beer-tasting event from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 27 at Fat Jack's, 511 N. Main St.

The event marks Cervical Cancer Awareness month, the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion and Celebration of Women's Health on Jan. 23.
