Constitution vigil set today by Moveon.org
BLOOMINGTON - A Constitution vigiln;has been set for 6 p.m. today at the McLean County Museum of History in downtown Bloomington.
Participants are calling for a thorough and independent investigation of the president's wiretapping program. The event includes members of Moveon.org, a political action group.
Tonight's event will include readings from the Bill of Rights.
Plans being made for Founders Day
ARROWSMITH - Planning is under way for the Arrowsmith Founders Day, set June 3.
Events so far include a round-robin baseball tournament and a breakfast.

Normal West event to help music groups
NORMAL - The Normal Community West High School band program will host a dinner-dance fund-raiser from 6:30 to 10 p.m. March 17 at DoubleTree Hotel.
Tickets cost $20 and attire will be semi-formal. Call (309) 820-8605.
The event includes music, a sit-down dinner and a dance.
Funds raised last year helped the wind ensemble with a performance at Carnegie Hall in New York City. This year, funds will help the marching band, which lost its cargo truck during a fire that also damaged uniforms and equipment.
Heartland Head Start taking applications
BLOOMINGTON - Heartland Head Start is accepting application for the 2006-07 school year. Children must be 3 by Sept. 1 and meet income guidelines.
