BLOOMINGTON - A former Project Oz counselor accused of criminal sexual assault and possession of pornography posted bond and was released Friday night after that bond was reduced.
Frank McSwain Jr., 31, was charged in February with the sexual assault of a former student at Normal Community High School. In April, five counts of possession of child pornography were filed related to images found on McSwain's computer.
Prosecutors and defense lawyer David Jordon agreed that McSwain's bond should be lowered from $10,000 to $5,000.
McSwain was arrested on the pornography counts when he appeared in court in April on the assault charges. He previously was free after posting $5,000 in the assault case, but he had been incarcerated in lieu of posting $10,000 on the pornography charges.

He posted bond at 7 p.m. Friday and was released, a McLean County jail official said Saturday.
McSwain was suspended by Project Oz, a nonprofit organization that provides support for troubled youth, after the February allegations involving the student.
McSwain is due back in court July 2 in both cases.
