PEORIA - A federal jury in Peoria has convicted an Indiana man of the 2005 kidnapping of a Bloomington woman.

Michael Diekhoff, 44, was found guilty of kidnapping, violent crime with the use of a weapon, and illegal transportation of firearms.

He used a shotgun to kidnap Lori Wagner from her Bloomington employer's parking lot. Wagner managed to escape several days later in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Diekhoff faces up to life in prison when he's sentenced in February.
