BLOOMINGTON — A 10th case of COVID-19 has been confirmed in McLean County by the state health department, just hours after county health officials announced the ninth case Friday morning.
There was no information immediately available about the most recent positive tests.
McLean County Health Department officials also announced 134 tests have been completed with 85 negative results and 49 others currently under investigation. Three of the patients are hospitalized. On Wednesday, officials confirmed one woman was in an intensive care unit in a local hospital.
The Illinois Department of Public Health is reporting 10 cases in McLean County, but local officials have not yet confirmed that total.
In Illinois, 488 new cases and eight deaths were reported Friday, bringing the total to there have been 3,026 cases with 34 deaths. Bureau, Henry and Iroquois counties are the latest counties to report the first case.
